Lycopene is a natural red pigment found in a number of fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, grapefruit, melons, apricots, papayas and others. Lycopene is a member of a family of nutrients called carotenoids, and is a highly effective antioxidant with specific protective benefits for the body's tissues, especially the prostate.
